About the Prince

Journalism by students.
Built to endure.

Since 1876, The Daily Princetonian has informed, challenged, and connected the Princeton community through independent student journalism.

The Prince is Princeton’s only daily student news publication. It is entirely student-run, not-for-profit, and financially independent from Princeton University.

For 150 years, generations of students have learned to report rigorously, ask difficult questions, and tell the stories that shape Princeton. This anniversary celebrates that legacy—and the students who will carry it forward.

Supporting the 'Prince'

Your sponsorship supports the Prince’s future.

By sponsoring the Gala, you will support the continued financial stability of the Prince and make possible opportunities for future generations of student journalists to thrive. All funds raised will contribute to The Daily Princetonian’s general operating reserve, which, among other things, supports stipends for committed staffers and editors on financial aid, the purchase of new equipment and technology for the newsroom, and training programs for staff. The reserve also ensures that unexpected financial needs will not threaten the paper’s future.

All amounts above $200 per ticket are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
